123 years ago, the immortal Mele Mistefa Bаrzanı was born.

He, along with his warriors (peshmerga) on the mountains of Kurdistan, tirelessly fought and fought for the dignity and freedom of the Kurds and with this struggle he sealed the entire 20th Century. With this struggle, he became a solid foundation for Kurdishness and for us all to remain as Kurds.

And now, his party, the Kurdistan Democratic Party, his children and grandchildren are fighting for the establishment of the independent state of Kurdistan and have become a hope and a beacon for all Kurds of the four parts of Kurdistan and for the Kurds of the whole world.

Yes, Bаrzanî, you have said it rightly that, “in the heart of every honest Kurd there is the independence of Kurdistan.” Independence is not only the right and desire of all of us, but at the same time it is something that we must definitely and by any means obtain, quite simply, because our survival or non-survival as a separate nation is inextricably linked to the independence of Kurdistan.
